Measurements Taken
San Clemente Shore Station
Personnel of the Department of Marine Safety take daily temperatures and salinity samples from the San Clemente pier, and return the salinity samples to Scripps monthly. This station, which was established to take over monitoring from the old Dana Point station (1955-70), is so similar that the long record for this area is still preserved.
